The Artificial Artwork Perspective and Lighting Engine (A.A.P.L.E.) is a program which combines AI artwork models, object detection models, and open-source 3D software to the change the lighting and perspective of artwork provided by the user. The program would contain an interface where the user can input an image, as well as configuration options for perspective and lighting, allowing the user to specify desired changes to both properties.
The image would be quantized and compressed before being scanned by an image segmentation software to identify each object in the illustration and estimate their properties. The data collected from the scan would be sent to 3D software to create a rough three dimensional recreation of the input artwork which would then be rendered with the desired perspective and lighting. The input image and the render would be given to a generative artwork algorithm which would combine the style of the input and the lighting and perspective of the render, essentially redrawing the input artwork with the desired properties.
